What it costs to get there

Indicative total tuition for the whole course in Karnataka

Tuition for the full 5.5 years including internship. Government AYUSH colleges charge roughly ₹20,000–40,000 a year. Private-college fees are fixed by the state before AYUSH counselling.

Fees change every year and differ by college — confirm with the college before paying. Scholarships can cover much of this.

2. 2Stream Selection · 2 Years🔬 PUC — ScienceTwo years of pre-university study in the Science stream. This is where you prepare for the entrance exam.
3. 3Entrance Exam · Exam year📝 NEET UGEntry to BAMS / BHMS / BUMS / BSMS is through NEET UG. NEET UG is run by National Testing Agency (NTA) and leads to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, B.Sc Nursing and notified allied health courses. Dates change every year — always confirm on the conducting authority's official portal.
4. 4Degree · 5.5 Years (4.5 + 1 yr internship)📘 BAMS / BHMS / BUMS / BSMSAYUSH Medicine (BAMS / BHMS / BUMS / BSMS): 5.5 Years (4.5 + 1 yr internship). You can specialise in Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Unani, Siddha and more.

National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) for Ayurveda, Unani and Siddha, and the homoeopathy commission for BHMS. All four degrees run 5.5 years including a one-year compulsory internship; graduates register with CCIM or CCH to practise.
