Who can apply
Passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English, minimum 45% aggregate (40% for SC/ST/OBC) as per Indian Nursing Council norms. The GNM diploma is being phased out nationally in favour of B.Sc Nursing — do not plan on it without checking your state still admits.
How to apply
NEET UG is required for B.Sc Nursing at government colleges and central institutions. Many private colleges and deemed universities still admit on their own entrance test or Class 12 merit, so check each college. Karnataka seats also run through KCET nursing counselling. The GNM diploma route is being wound down: the Union Health Ministry decided to replace it with B.Sc Nursing, and states are converting GNM schools into B.Sc Nursing colleges.
